USCIS can reply up to within 30 days. But they process cases on a case by case basis. Normally it takes around 5-10 days for them to reply. If they request additional proof it might take slightly longer, since they will have to verify the documents provided.

Thanks. I got the following message today
"This case will be routed for expedited processing. Once this case is reviewed, your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action. Due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for this case type, there are numerous cases involving exigent or humanitarian issues already in the expedite queue, and we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the expedited review. The strict enforcement of the expedite criteria means that all cases sent for expeditious handling are urgent, and we assure you that this case will be adjudicated as soon as possible.”
So hopefully sooner than later.

I expedited through congressman and it was because of financial loss/housing loss (my job provides me not expensive housing on campus). Also, how the project I work on would be affected if I couldn't work. I had letter from my employer supporting this.

Hi all,
Just got my EAD today after contacting the congressman. Here is my timeline:
Dec 15, 2018: I-485,131,765 were received at the National Benefits Center.
Jan 16, 2019: bio notice letter
Feb 01, 2019: Bio done.
Nothing new. My current EAD will expire early June. My employer was planning to pause my employment.
May 1, 2019: Mailed the congressman's Constituent Services Office.
Here are what I mailed: The Data waiver form (available in his website), a letter from me explaining my case, why I needed to expedite it, a letter from my company explaining why my projects were important, and all related USCIS receipts.
May 8: the congressman office emailed me, said that they had contacted USCIS.
May 15: the congressman office updated that USCIS was looking at my case.
May 20: the case was approved
May 21: card being order
May 23: we mailed your card, then USPS picked up
May 24: card delivered
I hope this information would be useful for some of you. If you can make a valid reason from your case, don't hesitate to contact your congressman. Remember to include all the supporting documents.
Good luck!
