Urgent-EAD /AP

My husband and I filed application for Advanced Parole (I-131) and EAD (I-765)
renewals with USCIS Nebraska Service Center on February 18th, 2010. We
received a receipt notice on March 24th saying that our application is
in process. Our EAD expires on April 12th and AP expires on April 17th 2010. We expedited both the travel document and EAD at the USCIS
customer service number (1-800-375-5283) so that we can continue
employment and be able to visit India on the 15th of April 2010.We have already booked tickets for the family. But we havent received any response yet. I was wondering if we can
expedite it any other way. We have an infopass appointment at the San
Francisco office on the 6th of April to expedite the I-131.
I have no idea if they will expedite the EAD at the SFO office.

Is my only sibling's wedding in India considered a valid reason for I-131
expedited approval?
What are other ways to get the approval for expedited EAD?
Has anybody been in this situation recently? Please help!

AFAIK, life and death situations are only considered for AP expedition. Booking of the tickets and weddings are not considered emergencies. One could have always applied in advance for AP. Your case will most likely be processed within the 90 days allowed but you can only wish and hope for it now that it is the 11th hour.

I hope to get it approved before I leave. I sent a fax to the Nebraska service center and my first expedite request on phone didnt get approved but I have placed another request again today.
