Travel on AP and H1B approval

Hi,

I have one question on immigration, actually i have applied for advance parole in February and i have received my AP document last week in USA with date issued on March 15,2010 and i have left USA on family emergency on March 22, 2010 . So logically my AP document got approved when i was in USA itself. So please suggest me can i use my AP document to come back to USA or should i have to go for H1B stamping with my H1B approval notice?. I have asked my friend to FedEx the AP document to my India address which i am going to receive on Monday.

If the date of validity of AP was before you left the country, you can use the AP to enter and not abandon the 485. There might be other reasons for you to maintain H1b status which are better understood by your attorney.
