  • EAD received but lost job

Me and my husband are both on H1B. Recently filed I485, I765, I131 application and have received our EAD. I485 application was employment based for my husbands I-140.
I recently lost my job and looking for another job and will be using my EAD for it.
My question is regarding my current status. Do I need to maintain a non-immigrant status? Should I try yo maintain my H1 status or do I need to switch to H4?
Do i need to file any paperwork to start using my EAD even if I do not get a job?

    (1) No need to maintain immigrant status. There may be benefits to it, in case the AOS is denied. But again, you don’t have to.
    (2) You can switch to the H4, but again, no pressing need.
    (3) No extra paperwork.
