  • Appl I-131 with pending I-485

    Hi,

Has anyone applied for their AP while iI-485 is pending?

My situation: My husband filed his I-485 09/2019 and given the wait time for our state we decided to apply for the AP so he can travel for work, but we just filed the I-131 February. Has anyone gone through this and roughly about how long it takes to get approved. he needs to travel by April 2020

roughly it is taking 5-8 months for Ead and AP approval. You can expedite if you have an emergency.

You need the AP or GC on hand to travel abroad. Please don't travel if you don't have one.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

All my posts are based on my experience or information I read on the forums or the USCIS website. I may be wrong. Please consult a professional.

I saw the wait time is 5-8 months on the USCIS website but I was wondering if anyone who applied separately waited that long.

Yeah, he won’t leave the country without one of the two.
