  • How Soon Will I Receive My EAD/AP After My Biometrics?

I completed my biometrics today, hurrah! I was wondering when I can see an update on the CaseTracker app, or when I would get my EAD/AP combo card.

    Thanks

I once asked my lawyer the same question. He said issuing the EAD doesn’t necessarily depend on biometrics. I have an adjustment of status. I have also seen some posts where people say they received their EADs before even going to the biometrics appointment. I hope this is true.

I did my biometrics on the 18th. That day I got an update to say my card was ordered, then being produced, then it was mailed 2 days later. It is due to arrive today or tomorrow.

Have you signed up for an account? I find that the account sometimes has more info than just putting in your case number (assuming that's what you're doing).

I also find that calling USCIS helps a lot if you haven't already done that.

If you have an AOS (which I do too) and you haven't done biometrics yet, it is highly likely you will asked to go for a biometrics appointment because they need your finger prints to do the FBI background check required for all adjustment of status applications.

My biometrics were applied to my EAD/AP card and my AOS at the same time.
