EAD Renewal------Urgent

Hi,
I applied my EAD renewal(I-485 Pending status) on May 5th 2010 and I have completed my biometrics also on May 28 th 2010.July 9 th I received Request For Evidence letter asking my photographs from USCIS and I already sent necessary documents (Photographs) on JUly 9th to USCIS and USCIS received on July 12th as mentioned in my Request For Evidence letter.
But still they didn't change my current case status.
Generally how long they will take to update the case status as RFE received and case resumed. because my current EAD is expiring on July 23rd and I have to submit my new EAD to employer.

If you do not have the EAD before the expiration, you MUST stop working for the employer. Do not work by any means as it could lead to 485 denial for unauthorized work.

As far as the RFE goes, the online system is not foolproof. Call the USCIS toll free number and bypass the first level customer service. The second level can look into the actual file and provide you with an actual status than read out what is on the web page like the first level reps.

I am planning to losss of pay vacation from july 25th onwards.
Suppose if I get the online status as Approved then is it ok to work at that time. otherwise do i need to wait until I will get the card.

What do u mean by uscis second level customer service. I didn't get u exactly.
Actually Uscis received my documents on July 12th .
I called USCIS on july 12th and expedited my case. Yesterday i called them again and asked the status of that expedited case. They said they already mailed a letter on july 13th that indicates that still they didn't receive my RFE documents.
BUt they received my documents on july 12Th only.

Any hep could be appreciated.

I would suggest you check again... sometimes receipt does not mean immediate status update within 24 hrs...

You have to time your call accordingly so they get reaction time.

For example if you call right after Fedex intimation that the package is recieved does not mean they have acted on it - you know what I mean. Second level support means speak to a live person... not automated status.

Check again if they claim non receipt send again.... time is not on your side. Also enclose proof of your previous response like proof of mailing / receipt etc.

Again I sent the documents yesterday.
Is it ok to work after the status has been updated to Approved. Do I need to wait until I will get the card.
Yesterday Texas service center officer called me regarding my case.She said she requested for my file Once she will get it she is going to look into that.
Generally how long it will take to get the file to the officer. Actually where are the file to be?

Time frame quotes for pulling and reviewing a GC file is 5 Business days as I understand it.

Yesterday I got a call from TCS(Texas Service Center). she said she requested for my file.once she gets the file she is going to approve it.How long it will take to get the file to the officer?

My EAd is expiring today and my employer asked me to take paid vacation from monday onwards. I am a emoployee to the company.As per company rules If I have the vacation i can not take loss pay vacation. My employer said he checked with the immigration attorney regarding this. Now I am going to take paid vacation . Is this fine or not?
