Clarification - Reg EAD

Request your clarification on the below questions.

I currently hold a valid B1/B2 visa and had made many trips to the US and have maintained a good record with regard to my stay.

My wife holds a valid L1B visa which is expiring in Sep 2010 anyhow she is currently now in India and her company is planning to send her again and she has applied for her L1B again. I plan to apply for a L2 once her visa is approved.

Questions:

1. Can I hold both B1/B2 and a L2 Visa?


2. Do I need to be physically present in the US till I get my EAD or is it like I can apply and return to continue in my current job?


3. While my EAD is in process, Can I enter the US for any official work for my existing employer?

To the question no 1. When I apply for my L2 visa you mean to say that the B1/B2 visa will not be cancelled and it will be good for me to travel on business.

Please advise.
