  • EAD+H1B and Singaporean fiancee

My situation's a bit complicated and would need a real whiz on immigration to crack this one –
    1. I have my EAD (EB2 with a priority date Oct 2006) and live in California
    2. I also have an H1B visa
    3. My fiancée is a Singaporean citizen and works there
    4. Her brother is a US citizen and lives in New Jersey
Now, the goal is to add my future wife to my green card application before my priority date gets current. Note: The current priority date for EB2 just moved up to March 2006.
Problem is that she needs to stay in Singapore for another year for work + studies but can visit me for short periods until then.
Question to you geniuses – How do we go about adding her to my application so that when my priority date does get current, she goes through with it too and gets her EAD and subsequent green card too. Also, how good is the option of having her brother sponsor her Green card?
    Told you it’s complicated
    Appreciate your wisdom.
    Thank you.

Look at the cross file option. Marry, research cross filing due to the nationality of spouse, may get the GC based on your PD and the nationality of your spouse.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
