  • Expiring EAD and Possible options for I-9 without receipt notices

    My EAD expiring on 03/15/21
    mailed EAD renewal on 01/14/21
    No Receipt notices Yet

Now, I-9 requires a receipt notices to get Automatic Extensions(180 days) Based on a Timely Filed Application to Renew
What happens if i don't get receipt notices before my EAD expiring date?
I will not have a valid I-9 and should get out of job? is there any alternatives.

    Thanks.

I am in similar situation. I had filed for renewal in Nov-2020 and have not got any notice.

Sent EAD renewal in January, EAD will expire by the end of March. No receipt yet.

Reading Ankur79 comment, I'm getting worried. Any options for people like us?
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

        I’m in the same boat.
EAD by Asylum expiring on 3/20
        Renewal mailed on 1/11
        No receipt yet

I sent my paperwork using UPS and the tracking shows that it wasn’t delivered. Nor money order hasn’t been cashed yet.

How can I continue working without losing my job?

My EAD expired May 3rd. I got my receipt back in November 2020. Nothing after that.
What should I do to be eligible to keep working? What is i-9?
          Thank you.

Yes, you can always file an expedite request based on possible job loss, etc. You can also reach out to your Senator and/or congressperson and ask them to shake the tree and have the request expedited.

Hope all of you found resolution to your requests.
