Hi folks,
I have visited this website several times while anxiously waiting for my EAD card. The posts are super helpful, here I would like to share my experience and timeline to pay back.
Application: Greed Card EAD Approval
I485 received date: 10/30/2020
Biometrics completed: 3/30/2021
Expedite Request filed via phone call to USCIS: 4/30/2021
We received your expedite request: 5/3/2021
Expedite Request approved: 5/10/2021
Card was mailed to you: 5/11/2021
Case was approved: 5/12/2021
Card was picked by USPS: 5/14/2021
Card delivered: 5/17/2021
Additional details for Expedite request: the reason I used is "financial loss", because I received a job offer and it requires fast onboarding. I called USCIS on Friday and asked for expedite request, the agent kindly helped with request and didn't ask for proofs. Later on Wednesday, I noticed that there could be possible RFE which might further delay the process. Then I contacted local congresswoman to help with transmitting my evidence to USCIS, unfortunately she refused because they didn't handle duplicate requests. As I already submitted the request to USCIS by phone, I had to wait for 14 days. Luckily the card was approved and delivered on time.
Hope it helps!
