  • Driving to Canada on valid EAD/AP; any issues returning to the States?

I plan on traveling to Canada this October. I am a Canadian citizen (currently working in the States) and have both a valid EAD/AP (expiring in November) with a pending I-485 AOS.

Just wondering if anybody has had any recent challenges/difficulty crossing the border back into the States via land (due to the current restrictions imposed by the US govt).

From what I understand only US Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents can travel back and other "essential" travelers.

This is the information I found but is directed to Mexico, don't know if Canada is the same:

Maybe "Individuals traveling to work in the United States" can apply to you but I'm not sure. I hope someone can confirm.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
