Moving back GC EAD to H4-EAD

Hello All,

My wife H4 EAD expired on 06-OCT-21 while we were waiting on H4 EAD renewal, To keep her job my wife asked her employer to use her GC-EAD from 06-OCT-21. She got her H4-EAD renewal approved on 12-OCT-21, We are thinking of requesting her employer to use her new H4-EAD going forward.(Switching back from GC-EAD to new H4 EAD)

Please share your inputs on this.

Hi Member,
As per my knowledge, Yes. This should be fine. But, there will be having some formalities to switch the Employment authorization to another category such as E verification, I9 form.
Please have a discussion with your Employer and follow the procedure then move forward.

Hi ku201030.... Have you received any confirmed answer regarding process to follow in order to get back from GC-EAD to H4 status? Let me know your experience; I and my wife may get into this situation in near future. Thank you.
