  • Applied EAD..passed 90days.Still have not received the EAD Card

    Hi Guru,

Have Applied the EAD on July 6th in Texas Servicing Center thru paper filing and received the acknowledgment (SRC) Already passed the 90 days from the date of applying. I did not recieve ant biometrics appointment as such. when i check the satus oniline in USCIS , showing the status as Initial Review.Raised the service request with the customer care , but no response as such. As per the reviews before visiting the local USCIS fro interim EAD ,need infopass appointment . Tried to take infopass appointment thru online , but did not allow me to take the appointment online.

    my questions are

    1. Is Biomentrics are required for the paper based filing.
    2. Do we need to take the appointment for biometrics or else will they send notification for the appointment.
    3. Can i get the interim EAD card.

pls suggest me the ways to get the EAD soon.

    Regards
    VJ

        Hi

I am in the same position..

I Have Applied the EAD on July 9th in Texas Servicing Center thru paper filing and received the acknowledgment (SRC) Already passed the 90 days from the date of applying. I did not recieve ant biometrics appointment as such. But in on 13 Sept when i check the satus oniline in USCIS , showing the status as Card in Production. So i called Customer care & asled about the Biometric, they told me that it was not required. On 5th Oct. the online status showed me that "On October 5, 2010, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent." But I didn't not moved from my address. Then also I called the customer care & update my address once again. But I am still waiting for my EAD.Raised the service request twice with the customer care , but no response as such.
If you have any idea pl share...

        Thanks..
        SP

Interim EADs are no longer issued. You need to get an infopass scheduled and open a service request to the service center.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

              Hi,

I raised a service request after 90days. I have not recived any reponse for 17days since the service request was raised.
I am curious what are the services provided by infopass guys?

              Thanks.

                    Hi All,

Today I booked the infopass appoinment and visited Chicago field office. As per the officer USCIS no longer issues a intermin EAD, atleast not at the local field office. One thing he do mention is if your case has been assigned to a officer than the EAD will be issued within 2 weeks. So with infopass you can confirm whether your case is assigned or still pending.

Also as per Customer Service you can apply for a Interim EAD over phone which will get issued in 30 days.

As usual, none of the 2 USCIS officer have or provide the same information.

Request you all to update with your status and measures yopu have taken.

                    Regards
                    Purva Jain

                            I filed I-130, I-485 and I-765 concurrently in November.
The items had been received in December.
In the same month I received the RFE in regard to the I-693 which I returned right away and it was received Jan. 5th.
Since then there had been no progress on anything.
So I called the USCIS number on Feb 17th in regard to not having a Biometric appointment for my I-765.
Then on March 5th I called USCIS in regard to not having a Biometric in reagrd to the I-485, in this call I was told that the Texas Service center was working on August applications.
Also did I contact my congressman in regard to the lack of progress of the I-765. The office of my congressman contacted USCIS earlier this week.

After all though no progress, no Biometrics.

Been more than 90 days and all the status show is case was received. I made an appointment with InforPass. I'm planning on going to my local congressman tomorrow. Anyone have any advice before I go?
