I am a student on an F1 visa applying for marriage based green card. My application will be sent in some time this week, meaning that I'm looking at having an interview some time in late August or early September.
I will be finishing my studies this summer and starting work (it's an academic job) in July, still in the US. My F1 visa is valid for another couple of years, though of course my I-20 expires in June.
My question: Is an EAD based on a green card application sufficient for me to begin work in July? Or should I also apply for an OPT based EAD? Would applying for two EADs at the same time on different bases just be weird?
