  • EAD Delay

I have a ditto situation like many of you here. Trying to find an answer. I applied for i765 & got a receipt notice on 30th december 2010 confirming with appointment date for biometric. biometric was done on 3rd feb 2011. checks for fee encashed on Jan 20th 2011. its now more than 30 days from biometric but nothing has moved. The case status on the website still shows 'initial review'.
I called in at the 1800 number for expediate but it was denied. i then made a review with the congressmen office but they were given 'legal issues' as reason & nothing further explained to the congressmen's office.
What i find weird is the answer given to the congressmen's office. and also the fact that they dint send in an RFE if this was the situation.
Any suggestions if i can do anything further to expediate this request since i have an offer ready but cannot join pending this EAD.
    tnx

be patient the timing frame is 90 days after that you should call USCIS for further steps. in my case i took my fingerprints on december 30th 2010 i got it on february 25th so take it easy i know its kind of hard but just hang in there

      In the same boat

My I795 was accepted Jan 31st, 2011. The USCIS website still says initial review. I have been talking to the international office in my school and I have been told that any step towards expedition can only be taken after the 90 days. I know its frustrating and I understand the gravity of the situation. But, trust me getting your mind off of pursing the EAD card helps. I would definitely speak with the employer and gauge their temperamance. I have also read in a different website that after the 90 days, a letter from the employer highlighting their loss due to your delayed employment helps in expediting the process. Let me know what you gather and wish you best of luck. Cheers, Bino
