Do I need An Advanced Parole to leave the United States?

Sorry to bother you.


I am Egyptian, Married to American.


I arrived to The USA on the 1st of March 2011, I Came with My Green Card Documents enclosed in an Envelope from the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt. The officers in the Airport took them from me and they gave me a CIR Number on my passport and said that i will receive my green card at my home address in couple of weeks.


My question is, If - for some reason - i want to visit Cairo before my green card arrives, do I need An Advanced Parole for this ???
