My latest EAD card (renewal) expired on 10/28/2010. I applied for renewal before this and received a I-797C Notice Of Action with notice date 08/25/2010. However, I did not receive the card but USCIS claims that there was no return mail to them, hence supposedly delivered. Per website, "USCIS mailed a notice on 10/27/20I0 regarding approval."
I continued working with my employer because I still have my H1B that will expire on 02/18/2011.
After calling USCIS and waiting for at least 60 days, I applied for replacement card and paid the fee. I received a new I-797C Notice Of Action with notice date 02/02/2011.
On March 30,2011 I received the replacement EAD. However, validity is from 03/28/2011.
Do I need to call USCIS and request them that the replacement card validity should be from 10/27/2010? Will I be considered working without authorization because my H1B already expired on 02/18/2011 and the EAD replacement card that USCIS sent me is valid from 03/28/2011?
Please help me. This is causing me to worry a lot, especially for fear that this will affect my GC processing.
Thank you
