Timeline for EAD

Hi

I am currently on H1B, If my employer applies for my green card under eb2 category, considering I am from India how will it take approximately for it to reach the stage where I can apply for an EAD so that my spouse can work.

Your priority date will need to be "CURRENT" for you & your spouse to apply for I485 (along with which you can apply for EAD & AP). Now, the question is when will your priority date be current, you will need to find an answer to the same. It is available all over the forums and easy to find. I do not know what that is.
