f1 status. got married. want to apply for EAD

hi, me and my wife applied for i 130 and i 485 a month ago. i am on f1 status. i still maintain my status. can i apply for EAD now or i have to wait for the approval of i 485. because i was told by one of my friends that i have to pull out of sevis before applying for EAD based on my marriage to a US citizen? is it true? pls help

You can if you want to! BUT if things did not go well ( I do not wish it for you) with your Adjustment of Status ( Green card), you can get in trouble by loosing your F1 status! My cousin went through the same situation. By accepting the EAD, you are no longer a F1 status! I would consult a lawyer before doing any of this! Good luck!
