OPT issue :(

Hi,

I am really worried at this time. I applied for my OPT on 7th June, got a letter from Nebraska service center on 10th June about acceptance of my application.
My case status is still initial review. My current employer wants me to get full time starting from 26th Aug and that is when my CPT is expiring.
How long does it take to get EAD in hand?
I would appreciate your time in replying to this.

I think so you can start work even wihtout the physical EAD, the receipt (I-765) should be good to get you started, but once you have the actual card, you need to update your employer.

Don't dig up an old thread. One cannot work with receipt. You need to have EAD in hand.
