H1b expiring, EAD in process printing, can I continue working?

Upon the approval of I-140, I-765, I-131 and I-485 were submitted in mid-Sept 2011. I completed I-485 biometrics in mid-Nov 2011, but no response yet. On Nov 28, I-131 approval notice and I-765 EAD card printing request was sent notice came, but it may take approx 30 days to get actual EAD card which will be at the end of Dec 2011. My H1b expires on Dec 8 with 6 year max and all days I spent outside the US were already captured.
Under this condition, can I continuously work at the company sponsoring my permanent residency EAD is approved but the actual card is not in hand yet? Or do I have to stop working from Dec 9 until I receive the actual EAD card? And how about my status in the US? Am I going to be out of status? Also before I receive EAD card and I-485 approval, can I travel to overseas after I receive the I-131 approved travel document and re-enter the US? I only got one week and I would appreciate some help. Thanks!

I am also having the same problem.Please suggest
My H1 expires on Jan6,12.
I have my EAD receipt,I am going for biometrics appointment on Dec15,2011.
If I dont receive my EAD before Jan 6 ,will my stay in US Considered illegal?

I am also in the same situation and seaching the internet for an answer, my H1B expires on the 8th of jan, my i140 has been approved, Biometrics completed on Nov 1st and I am still waiting for my EAD/AP, I need to know if I can continue working until I recieve my EAD.
