Dependant EAD with L1 Visa

I am currently working on L1. My spouse (primary applicant on H1) PD got current and we applied for GC.

After I get the EAD (as dependant) can I use my EAD to change job? What happens to my L1? Do I need to change my Visa status to H4 to have valid visa and switch my job?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can use EAD for a new job. But, it is advisable to stay on H4 until I485 decision made. Because, if you use EAD to work and if I485 got denied, you will be out of status.
