I have Advance Parole through spouse's employment based application. And I am on F1 with one more month left with STEM OPT.
When I entered USA, even though I showed my Advance Parole to officer, he asked my I20 based on the F1 stamping I have on passport. And he gave I94 with stamping as F1 with expiry as Duration of Status.
I have couple of questions abt this:
- Is that fine with my I-485 application. Does that anyway mean that I am abandoning the application as I still used F1.
- As my I94 expires in a month (as my F1 - OPT expires), do I need to go out of country and re-enter to get AP stamping.
Please advise. Any help is greatly appreciated.
