I am currently in the US on a F-1 visa with an EAD card that expired last month. I got married to a US citizen and we are preparing to send in the I-485 and I-765 together.
Since my category has changed from student to spouse, will I have to apply for a new EAD card or just renew my old card?
Also, does this change the A# or is the A# assigned to you only once (so it is still valid now that I am applying for a green card even though my F-1, OPT and EAD has expired)?
And just to make sure, when applying for the EAD should I use category c-9 ? (My F-1 just expired, but I am still in the USA and married to a US citizen)
