  • Reusing stamped Advance Parole for second trip - Question

    Hello members,

I am on EAD and traveled to India on Advanced Parole in July 2012.

I came back to the States on Aug 4th 2012. At the port of entry in Chicago, I was asked to present both the Advance Parole documents by the officer. One was stamped (paroled) with the date on stamp as "Paroled until 03 Aug 2013". But the second was never given back to me. When I asked the officer he said, I could only hold onto the one that is stamped.

I didn't want to confront and left. Besides my advance parole is due to expire in Feb 2013 so I thought I'd not leave the country anyways.

But now I am traveling to India again in Nov for about a month. The advance parole clearly states that "This authorization is valid for multiple applications for parole into the United States during the validity period noted above". Validity is for Feb 2012 to Feb 2013.

Will I have any problems using the same stamped parole when I come back from India in Dec??

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
