I've noticed that the ICAO and other accounting bodies are really pushing the CA and other designations. The booklets the ICAO give out sicken me. They're full of propaganda that fool students into thinking you can do ANYTHING with a CA designation. I was at a CA event and the presenter tried to convince us that because some dude got his CA, he's now a writer. WTF. There's all ready an over saturated market of accounting students graduating every year, yet the ICAO keeps brainwashing students into thinking it's real easy to get into a CATO and make 40k right out of university. WHY?
