i am having my H1 processed through Silvertide Software (it is also called as Matsystems Inc).

I do not find information about this employer from any forum.. if you know any, please share it across. it would help a lot..

I just had a phone conversation with SilverTide about a contracting position in Colorado Springs. They e-mailed me these two poorly written documents (NDA and RRF) and wanted me to sign them before submitting me to the client. I've been a consultant for many years and have never been presented with such one sided documents that were wholely unappropriate for a submittal/representation agreement. I refused to sign them. They gave me a story about all other consultants signing the documents and that they require this because of individuals going around them and stealing business from their clients. I suspect both stories are bull. I've been dealing with contract agencies around Denver and none of them try treating me like this or try to get me to sign agreements that are so open ended in their favor and potentially place me in a terrible legal position.

Whenever a company offers to process your H1b, if you pay for the H1b i.e. $2400 then there should be no bond of any sort. If they pay for the H1b, then most probably they will ask you sign a letter saying that they are gonna pay $10,000 for your training and if you leave the company before 1 year then you would need to pay the company that amount. Its not a bond just a legal agreement. Its fair because they are paying for the H1b. Most people take the H1b from company A and immediately switch to company B. So company A loses that $2400 that it spent on you. If some company presents you with such papers, ask them to also add the clause that "with or without a project, the company will pay you a minimum per diem of $600 per month for your basic monthly expenses. Remember, you are in the bargaining end.. there are tons of jobs in India compared to here and these companies are desperate. So bargain well.

Is it a valid company in USA. What do you mean?? .. They will not do projects or they will not pay good?... Please advice me.. I am selected for that company.. Shall I proceed further on this???....

They will ask any signed bond for employees under silvertide????....... Tell me... Advice me.....

If you guys are already working for a big MNC like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, .. dont waste your career by joining these small consulting companies.

No career growth with these companies: You will always be just a senior software consultant even when you are 50 years old. At the project sites, you will always be the lowest level employee. There is no respect for consultants.

Not get paid on bench: You will always live in fear of your project ending. The day your project ends you will stop getting paid until you get another project. Whenever the company does losses, consultants are the first to get thrown out.

Threatening on bench: They will threaten you saying they will send you back home if you do not get a project. If you are quitting your managerial level job where you had 20 people working under you and join as a consultant, you will regret it.
