I had a question on how often per diem should be paid. My employer will pay my per diem "whenever" they feel like it. Some times I will go several weeks or months without getting any and then I'll get paid for a week. Then next week I might get paid for a month then I might go without getting per diem again for a while. I have been fighting with them trying to get a set schedule. I've told them I don't care how often it is weekly, bi weekly, or even monthly. I just need to know when I will get paid and for how much so I can plan accordingly. Does anyone know if there are any regulation/guidelines/laws that dictate how often an employer is is required to pay it out. I'm a US citizen working as a contractor inside the US.
