How to find a good consulting company

Hi, Are there any forums where we can discuss desi consultancy companies operating in US. There are so many of them and it is very difficult to know which one is genuine until we know of somebody who have experiences with these companies before.
I recently heard of a scandal where one NRI guy was operating two consulting companies and filing petitions in fraudulant manner.
