  • Employer deducted $5000 per MOU

Before my employer sent me to US, I signed a MOU that if I resign and join someone else in the US, I would have to pay them $5000. MOU says this cost is to recover the relocation expenses for individual and family.

I was getting a better offer and thus resigned. My employer has deducted $3000 from my last paycheck but has paid the minimum wages.

Further, they have forwarded the case to an Agency to collect balance amount of $2000.

** YTD earnings on my last pay stub DO NOT match with the amount on W2. W2 is higher by $3000 apprx.

Would appreciate if someone could suggest how to proceed???

    Thanks!
