Hi,
I got my H1-B approved thru a consultant with whom i signed a contract stating that I will work with him for a minimum of one year. If i quit within one year, I have to pay him $3000. Now, I am getting a full time job in the place i stay and want to go with that. I contacted the consultant and told him that I am willing to pay him $3000. He does not seem to be interested in letting me go and is demanding that i work with him for a minimum period and asking for enormous amounts of money (in the order of $15000).
I am told that I need atleast one pay stub from him for me to transfer my H1-B to my new employer. What do i do? Is there a way i can move ahead and get my H1-B trransferred without any hassles? (Given i have signed the contract with this guy??)
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!
