    All the best!

    i have h1 stamped in my passport...recently..and my employer.(which is a consultant).has asked me to fly by feb/march 2008.
AK=> Congratulations on your H1 stamping

my question is how is the job interview process in usa.
AK=> Its still the same process like anywhere in the world, interviewer would like know what type of projects you have worked and what type of knowledge you have on the applications that you worked, your in depth experience working on Java applications etc.,

iam a java professional. Is it similiar to what we have in india??do we need to prepare on subjects??
AK=> 1**=2, this equation is still the same anywhere in the world and nothing has changed and it just depends on what type of platform you are working on and design of application etc based on spec's but concept should be the same. In some cases it depends if you are working on core US based programs like US HealthCare applications such as EDI HIPAA (Electronic data Interchange) HealthCare data mapping etc.,then it will be a bonus to have this HealthCare domain knowledge that will be a huge help at the time of programming but again its not compulsory since you strictly follow specs and as a developer all you care about is spec's and take it from there..

How is the job scenario there?Does it need hard core job hunting or depends on the consultants contacts??
AK=> Trust me Job market in US right now is great, and it also depends on what type of platforms you are looking for, specific location, your billing rate etc., etc., but there are lot of job posting website where you can search for jobs and posts your resume over there and it also depends if you consulting company may have some good client requirements in hand..,

    pls advise. [/B][/QUOTE]
Don't get confused, and be confident.. its just a matter of timing (right time right place) and later everything should fall in its own place..

Wish you all the best! Arvind

        Job on H1 B

        Hi Guys

I happen to read both of your posts and i am currently with h1 in US. I am Searching for a job right now. I came to US on Nov end and couldn do much as it was slow time here because of the holidays. I just started my job search a week earlier.

I had completed my SAP course and i am looking for a job in SAP but my consultant says you have to add on experience in your resume and that would be the only way for the employers to look at your resume. I adhered the same way and posted my resume in job sites.

My clarification here is how soon will we be able to take up a job and what are all the criteria that job seeker needs. Please suggest and advice as i need to take up a very soon because of financial issues. Can anyone kindly help me.

        Thanks a lot
