I tried to search for an answer to my question, could not find any in the already discussed topics so posting a new one. My GC process has started in Nov 2012, but still have some open questions
There is a possibility for me to leave my current company after 140 approval. I understand that if after 140 approval, if I change my company, even if with a new company I have to start the process again from scratch but I can hold on to my priority date. The current company has filed by GC with a Lead designation but I am not sure when I move to a new company whether I will be offered a Lead designation there or not. 90% chances, I will be offered a Senior Developer position. Even if quite a few job responsibilities will be common between 2 designations but Lead designation will have some management responsibilities.
My question is if the designation changes after changing the company, can I still hold on to my priority date or I will get a new priority date? Please guide me through.
