  • Affect on GC processing if I change citizenship

We are INDIAN H1B non-immigrant aliens living in the US for about 4-5 years now. My wife is acquiring a French citizenship by descent pretty soon.
I have started my GC processing on EB2 category.
How does the French citizenship (if I choose to acquire from her) affect my GC processing?
I was born in India and am on a EB2 category. So am thinking it will not have any effect on Priority date as depends on the place you were born.

But does it cause confusion with INS as the GC is being given on my Indian passport and if I receive a French passport after 1-1.5 years, will they revoke my current process.
Will I need to start all over again?

Greencard processing is by country of birth and not by country of citizenship.

Therefore, even if you become a citizen of another country, it does not change anything.
