How much time before GC processing need to be started before H1 Expiry

Hello All.

I came to US on Jan19th 2009 and was in India for 3 months on vacations, so I am left with 22 months before H1B expires... can any one tell what is the minimum time required for the employers to start GC processing in EB3 ? My employer is not filing GC so I am looking for new opportunities... Please let me know how long it can wait and whats the minimum time employer need to start GC processing..

You should look how you can start at the earliest rather than the latest.

To answer your question, you should start it at least one year before your total H1 time expires.
