My husband's GC

I'm on H1B visa and my employer is about to file for PERM. I have added my husband as dependant - who is currently on his individual H1B visa.
My question is can my husband extend his H1 year on year once the 6yr is complete and from what point in GC processing can he do so.

No I dont think so he can extend his H1 based on a derivative application.
