L1-B to Green card

I am currently in L1-B. My current employer is willing to sponser the green card, during the GC processing if my L1-B expired how can I go outside the country and come back to US ? Is there any L1-B extension to be filed ?

Merely having a pending GC doesnt allow you to remain in US or enter US.

What you need to first determine from the employer is that if GC will be filed as EB1/EB2/EB3?

Also, which is your country of Birth?

Since I am in L1-B, I assume employer is filing my GC in EB2 category. As EB2 takes more time, I am sure my L1 & I-94 will expire, how do I stay with in US or go out and come back ? Is the employer need to process one more L1-B while GC pending..

My country of birth is India.
