Place of birth in GC Appln

Hi,

I have my priority date in hand and I-140 not yet applied.
My passport doesn't have my correct ( not wrongly spelt, has a diff place of birth altogether ) place of birth.

If i get my passport corrected now, does this effect my ongoing Green Card process/application?

Please help me.

Correct the passport before applying for I-140. Better yet, ask your lawyer. No issues though.
