Tax return questions - please help
Hi Friends,
Just to give background - I worked in US for 7 years, have my I-140 approved from TSC. I moved to my home country India end of 2010 due to family issue. My employer supported my case and continued my GC, last year we applied for I-824 to change from AOS to Consular processing, waiting for its approval. While I was moving and handling family issues, I missed out filing the tax return for 2010, while all previous years tax returns have been filed consistently and on time. Planning to file the tax return for 2010 now via a tax consultant
My Question - My employer is saying it may cause issue in the GC. Please provide advice on how to proceed and if there is any impact on the GC even if I file the return now?
