Hi everyone! I've submitted all supporting documents for DS 230including my police clearance here in saudi arabia, may I know if an NBI clearance is still needed from the philippines? I'm a Filipino and I' ve been working in saudi arabia since oct 2013 Thanks

Yes, you need an NBI police clearance from the PI, which can be ordered through a Philippines Consulate.
You should have filled out the DS-260, online, as the DS-230 has not been in used for almost two years (unless the Saudi U.S. Embassy is still using it internally).

Normally, you can expect the NVC to not close their processing until all routine documents are received and vetted by the NVC A police clearance from the primary country of the applicant, the NBI in your case, is right on top.
Sometimes the NVC will release a package prematurely and allow the interviewing Embassy to review documents left out of the NVC review (such as police clearances from countries which insist on sending directly to the Embassy,such as Hong Kong), but the NBI is understood to be a police clearance which is easily obtainable, either in person in the Philippines, or through the Philippines Consulate closest to the applicant.
