Hi, my husband and I are british citizens and we moved to US 5 years ago on L1 (him) and L2 (me) visa. After about 2 years of working on EAD in the US, I had a better opportunity in another country, so I have been working and living in another country in the past 2.5 years. My L2 visa expired over a year ago and I didnt renew it because I have been working in a different country. Now I wish to return to the US. My husband's employer in the US is in the process of applying for green card for him. Do I qualify too? Would I need to renew my L2 visa and return to US first before they can apply for me? Or could they apply while I'm still outside of the country? Does the fact that I havent been living in the US matter? Thank you very much for your advice.
