Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to make enquiries about applying for the next green card lottery. I am so disappointed that I have missed the next lottery and would
therefore like to know the following:
1. Is there still any chance I can now apply for the next lottery ?
2. If not, may I please know when the next date for application is for the 2017 lottery ?
3. Can I apply for the green card separate to the lottery in my own right?
4. I am an ESL/IELTS teacher living in Perth, Western Australia. I was born in Singapore and have been in Australia for 29 years. I am an Australian
citizen. I understand that there is a demand in the USA for English as a second language (ESL) teachers and especially those teachers who have
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) teaching experience. I have a business degree with a certificate in English Language teaching
(CELTA), I have been teaching international adult students for 5 years and have over 2000 hours of teaching ESL. Do these qualifications provide me with any
advantage in my application?
5. Lastly, if I can apply for the green card or a work visa to teach IELTS in a college or university, how do I go about it?
I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully
Sharon A
