  • Getting Visa/Greencard - Canadian without degree

Hi. Alright, little bit of background/career info
I'm currently going on a 3 year contract in the Canadian Army. I just graduated highschool, and really didn't plan on going to school (College/uni) afterwards. Don't let this fool you, I'm not an idiot - I'm interested in policing, and army is a great preparation for that. I'd love to move to the States afterwards, however I am having difficulty figuring out how I'll do it. I mean my only way is through an employment visa, as I will not get married for the sole point of getting my U.S citizenship.
For the Visa's which require a degree, I have absolutely no interest in any of those careers. I'm more of a hands on person, and don't enjoy math, office-settings, and... well, you get the point.
I'd like to do policing in the States, but you need a U.S Citizenship. I would have no problem working for any company to get my green card, and after I get my citizenship I could do policing.
After my 3 year army contract here in Canada I'll have upwards of 60-70 grand in the bank, so that could give me a bit to work off on my U.S green card/citizen journey.

So really, HOW would I get a green card/work visa which allows me to apply for a green card or citizenship without having a degree?

There's no arrogance, I'm simply stating that stuff to let you guys know I am not useless to the States if any of that stuff would help me in any way to get in. Obviously they don't want somebody who's broke with no experience to go there, and by what I'm listing that should show the opposite of broke and inexperienced. No arrogance intended, but if that's what it comes off as so be it. I also hope an expert would tell me how to go about my quest. Oh, and not only that, everything I listed tells you everything I have to offer, and what my plans are so you can help choose the best course of action for me. Thanks
