  • Bringing My Wife and Daughter With Me to USA for Work

    Hello everyone,

I am a Canadian citizen living and working in Mexico City.
My wife and her biological daughter (9 years old) are both Mexican citizens and are living with me.
If my employer approves a transfer to one of their USA branches to work, and I get a US work visa approved, how can my wife and her daughter move with me?
My being approved for a US work visa probably does not automatically imply that they will be granted entry, correct?

She has lived and worked illegally in the US for over two years, until I met her. After that, she voluntarily left (didn't fill out a deportation form or anything; she just got on a bus and went back home to Mexico). She left the US so that she could return to Mexico where we could be legally married without any problems. During her stay in the US, she obviously had a false name and SSN in order to work, but never had any criminal issues, never applied for a loan or committed any fraud. She only had two speeding tickets.

I'm not sure if there is any more information that is required to explain our situation...just ask if you need any more info. Long story short, I am sure I will have no problems getting my USA work visa, but I'm worried that she will be denied entry, and want to know what we can do to make this process as easy as possible.

    Thanks
