Hello,
My husband (was born in India) is applying green card through his employment. We filed I-485 using cross-chargeability with my birth place (United Kingdom), and we already got our biometric done. We both are right now living in US. I am a dependent on his visa.
My question is can he cancel my application during the process after his green card application has been secured but mine not yet? Which means he finally get the green card by using my birth place, and I end up getting nothing? Cause we are considering a divorce, and I worried that he will just take advantage of my birth place for filing to get his green card, and I end up without any status to stay in US.
Or under cross chargeability, our applications are tied together that if I cannot get my green card, he will not get it neither?And vice-versa?
