birth date issue
hi,
I am in the process of Employment based green card application.
My original birth date is 1 year before the official birth date. Official birth
date is on all the documents. Most probably I would get birth cert. from
the municipality with original birth date. That would be a big problem for my GC
application.
I heard from people that whatever birth date is submitted in the GC application,
it is verified with the local authorities of the foreign country. Does anyone know
if this is true?
Has anyone on this forum come across such a case where the birth date
needs to be adjusted for GC application ? what are the options and
how long it can take for each of the options?
