I came to the country when I was 16 yo. I was deported back in 1994, my ex-wife filed for me in 2002 but the process didn't get too far because at the Consulate in Juarez the consular officer denied me entry because she said I claimed US citizenship to get in, when I DID NOT. After that I just gave up traying.
Now my lawyer would like to file a petition via my US born child, has submitted a FOIA request back in October 2015, and has got a "nothing to release" response
I don't understand why my immigration record from 1994 as well as the petition can't not be found. Not having a record on my could cause issues, right?
Has anyone has had the same, seen, or heard about a case where the FOIA files are not being released for unknown reasons?
What does this mean in my case?
I'm not a criminal, terrorist, or otherwise so I don't get it why they wouldn't want to release the records.
Thank you
