Initially EB2 and Later Upgrade to EB1
Hello All,
I am currently on L1A visa and working at onshore for 3.5 years. My management approved for processing my Green Card in EB2 Category for now. However, I am aware that EB2 is not going to do any good for me because, I will not be able to extend beyond 7 years even after I140 approvals unlike H1B. My management is asking me to start the EB2 process now and get upgraded to EB1 after 8 months from now. Please let me know if this is a viable option or is it better for me to wait until after 8 months and do the EB1 CAT and not start my EB2 process now ?
