  • H.R.392 - Email local rep to move this forward and remove country limit for EB-GC

    Hello All,

This is a great forum. We get a lot of useful info.
Regarding HR392, my friend and I have decided to take action.
We both are on H1B's and have decided to email/ message our local representatives in Congress and requested to move it forward.

I am also pasting the message my friend sent, so that you all can frame your messages.

Thank you and hoping for fast movement of this bill.

    Pro.

    Dear Congressman XX,
I would like to request your support for H.R.392 introduced in the house on 10th January 2017.
(To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to eliminate the per-country numerical limitation for employment-based immigrants, and others).
I came to USA as an MBA student, then secured employment with a large organization, promoted to head of my department, hired Americans, purchased house and have intentions to settle down.
As a student and as a professional, I have experienced why America is the greatest country on earth (best education system where students are encouraged to be creative and challenge the status quo, recognition for hard work and top performance at work irrespective race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, etc) ; and I am always striving to make America even better by building on these values.
My employer filed for my employment based Green Card (EB-2) and I have I-140 approval but I am in the long wait to get my priority date being an Indian citizen.
I find it unfair that I have to wait for years while equally brilliant friends of mine who are German, French, Mexican, etc have no wait line and already got their green cards although theirs was applied later than mine.
I would appreciate if you could support the bill so that in line with American values the best and brightest get the employment based green card and there is no discrimination based on nationality.
Thank You for your kind consideration.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year.
    Best Regards,
    YY

    EOM.
